GTB’s Theme Song by Asa
I can not deny that I love banking with Guaranty Trust Bank. They do their best to make me happy. Even, commissioning Asa to sing their theme song, and its a lovely song.
You can get the song from here.
Wouldn’t you rather take my hand and let me lead. Wont you rather trust me?
Guaranteed to take the lead. Guaranteed to be the best in all that I do.
Cool. Relaxing. Asa, damn girl, you are good.
Interswitch Fraud Site – Update
It seems like the fake Interswitch site has been taken down. The original interswitch site is http://www.interswitchng.com
Beware of Fraud – Interswitch
A mail is going around, sent by http://www.interdatabase.net claiming to be from Interswitch. Please note that is a faudulent site. DO NOT ENTER YOUR CARD DETAILS.
I did a whois on the domain, and the registrant has gone to great lengths to hide his/her/their identity. As you can see from the whois information, it was registered on 15 October 2008. It screams FAKE all the way. Please be careful.
I did some investigating on the site, viewing the source, I found a link http://www.abbey.co.uk/CsAppsExp/Abbey/Internet/Abbey/html/demo_html_ebanking_0.htm Unless the fraudster is from the UK, I do not know the correlation.
When you submit the form, no matter what you input, it always sends you to an error page. Ofcourse, they must have stored your information.
The error page then takes you to another page, claiming to "update your information". Still fake.
^^ is the actual interswitch website.
Please pass this message to your friends.

Why do bad things happen?
Just when I thought it could not get worse, I “re-”came across Wema Bank’s website. I was having a discussion with a friend about the propects and pitfalls of the web design business in Nigeria. To prove a point that some sites are not designed to make an impact, I offered to open up the sites of some Nigerian banks – Zenith Bank, GTB Plc, Wema Bank.
I knew (had known for a while) that Wema Bank’s site was not well designed (am being generous there), I opened it as a representation of poor design.
Even though their site is poorly designed, it helped me prove a point. How can a bank go live with “nothing”. Its a shame. They could have placed an “Under Construction” or “Undergoing Recapitalisation” sign on the page. It would have made more sense.
And frankly, this design sucks.
