What Chrome did? It closed. No warning. No opportunity to complete my download. Just canceled. Did not even pause the download.
And no, nothing under the settings.

I came across a nasty site which kept trying to force me to install a &#8220;fake&#8221; codec. Chrome had a feature, obviously to prevent other dialogs. But that did not work. Google team take note.
